Data controller

Data collected on this website is processed by Yaninthé Tiomene on behalf of 2APA.

Data collected

The website collects personal data through the membership form: identity, date of birth, contact details (e-mail and WhatsApp number), nationality, country and city of residence, gender, professional background (including position and work address) and motivations.

Members can later correct, in their member area, their contact details, country and city of residence, profession, position, organisation, work address and the skills they show in the directory. The date of birth and work address are visible to the board only.

Sign-in and cookies

Browsing the public pages requires no account. The website uses neither advertising cookies nor audience-tracking tools.

The member area and the board area open with a single-use sign-in link sent to the e-mail address of the membership. Once you are signed in, the website sets a session cookie, strictly necessary for signing in: it keeps you signed in for thirty days at most and is deleted when you sign out.

To keep accounts secure, the website records the IP address and browser used for each sign-in.

Member directory

The directory is visible only to signed-in members. You appear in it only if you tick the box provided in your profile. It then shows your name, profession, position, organisation, country of residence and, if you have given them, your skills and the link to your LinkedIn profile.

If you add a photo to your profile, it also appears in the directory for as long as you are listed. It is reduced before it is sent, is visible only to signed-in members, and you can remove it at any time.

Untick the box to leave it: the change is immediate.

The board, which looks after the directory, sees your photo too. It can take an entry out of the directory or delete a photo: your profile then tells you so, and the decision is lifted by writing to the board.

Purposes and legal basis

This data is used solely to run the association and connect its members with one another. It is processed on the basis of the consent given in the form.

The figures published on the website are totals: they do not allow anyone to be identified.

Proof of title

Members who ask to become members by right file the proof of their title in their member area, as article 12 of the statutes provides. Only the board has access to it.

The file is kept in the website’s database, at Neon (European Union), and can only be read from the board’s area. It is deleted three years after the board’s decision; all that remains afterwards is the record that a proof was filed and reviewed.

Recipients

Membership applications are read by the officers of the association in charge of reviewing them. They are neither sold nor passed on.

They are stored with the website’s technical providers: Vercel (hosting, United States) and Neon (database, European Union). The website’s e-mails (confirmation of your application, the board’s decision, sign-in link) are sent through Resend (United States).

Videos

Videos are hosted by YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you start playback; at that point YouTube may set its own cookies.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to contact@2apa-afri.org.
